Alice Band style Tiaras ~ Crystal Velvet

Recently, a bride asked for a very simple crystal tiara based on the alice band style. As usual I created several tiaras and these are the results.
This first tiara (above and below) uses 6mm Swarovski crystals interspaced with smaller 4mm ones. The AB coating on the crystals enables the crystals to reflect the light from the colours around it.

The next tiara (below) is my personal favourite and the one that the bride eventually chose. it is a very heavy and substantial tiara band with three rows of crystal built into one another. it looks very organic and alsmost the way mother natures geodes look when they are opened.
this last example shows a tiara band encrusted with crystals and fresh water pearls. this would look great with a bodice with pearl detailing.

These tiaras are suitable for proms, bridesmaids andbrides as well as occasion and evening wear. they can be created to order in any colour or with further embellishments such as feather plumes etc.

These Alice band style tiaras have proved to be extremely popular with both brides, bridesmaids, prom girls and occassion wearers.
The simplicity yet versatility offers a chance to introduce colour to the hair detailling.

BT Wedding ~ A Love Story ~ Vintage Tiara Style

 We've watched as two people embark on a relationship, we've watches as they got to know one another, met the family, moved in together, were seperated by work, had their up's and downs and now finally we see them marry in a truely beautiful wedding. 

 The wedding is ased around the vintage feel and is styled so beautifully.  Jane's tiara is a style that looks very flattering and stylish on dark hair.  It's encrusted with beads and crystals and sits on the side of the head.

 

Thisis my version of the BT Tiara.  I've also excentuated the tiara band with aditional crystals and added fresh water pearls.  This tyle of tira can be created in any colour you want, with or with out the band detailing.  It's available HERE.

A New Tiara ~ Paradise Birds

Fabric ~ Ted Baker ~ Paradise Bird 

 This tiara features a mix of colours and textures that compliment the fabric design.  

 The fronds are formed with silver plated wire, Swarovski Crystals and  fresh water pearls.

The tiara can be styled in two ways, either open fronded as the pictures above show or bundle fronded as shown in the pictures below.

Open fronding with give an informal look whist the closed fronding gives a more formal look.

 The tiara is formed on an Alice band base with patina.  

 The band is encrusted with fine Delica beads in silver mirror finish giving sparkle and shine.  The encrusting also reflects the colours of the crystals and allows the light to "play"

Alisia ~ Encrusted Floral Tiara

Created with a cluster of lucite floral beads, freshwater Pearls and Swarovski Crystals and Mother of Pearl, this Asymmetrical tiara is simply stunning.

The pearls are tightly packed at the frontal part to provide a heavily clustered luxurious look.

Three New Tiaras ~ Side features ~ Crystal Velvet

Thes new tiaras are part of a series of side feature tiaras.
Th tiara above is an encrusted band with peacock delica beads that reflect deep colours. The feature is created with acrylic leaves, fresh water pearls, mother of pearl, amethyst beads and gold wiring.
The feature can be worn to the left or right.

The second tiara is created using silver delica beads and Swarovski bicones in light sapphire.. The wiring is silver. The tiaras feature can be worn to the left or the right.

The last of the three features a starburst in gold wiring with ivory fresh water pearls and Swarovski crystals.
