Wedding Chickens

The wonderfully talented Swirly Arts has created this cheeky pair of chickens to celebrate a wedding.

The Bride

The Groom

Swirly is famous for her fancy chickens which come as door stops or as in this case as pin cushions.  They would look great on top of a wedding cake too.

Wedding Colour ~ Black

Black is perhaps the most modern and upcoming colour for weddings.  Traditionally black was steared away from because of it's links to mourning (a period in which one is supposed to remain subdued following a death and therefore unable to attend or take part in festivities including weddings).  However, more and more the colour is being accepted and used to great effect.  It's a colour that when teamed with ivory can be accented with any other colour, be it a jewelled tone, pastel or muted.  Black suits most skin tones and therefore will bring out the best in everyone.  For children the solidness of the colour can be softened with an accent colour, accessories etc.
